The goal of the intended project is to model and implement a Personal Information Portal, which assists in organizing heterogeneous, locally stored information and, at the same time, automatically integrates semantically annotated web content. Using Text Mining and Information Extraction techniques, personal information is processed and a user model is build. Based on this user model the portal automatically recommends relevant web content. As the processing of personal information involves sensitive data, special considerations will be taken to privacy issues.
