Stefan Hüsig graduated from the University of Regensburg in 2000 with a Diploma in Business Administration. In his studies he concentrated on Innovation and Technology Management, Economic Policy, Business Informatics and Human Resource Management and Organization.
In addition to his university experience he worked as a freelancer for Mannesmann Pilotentwicklung in Munich. There he was responsible for R&D management, planning tools and new business planning.
2001-2006 he was a PhD student and an assistant at the Chair of Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Regensburg. He also was a visiting scientist at the University of Colorado (USA) and took part in the PhD-program at the Leeds School of Business. Furthermore, he worked for research and consulting projects with Vodafone and Fraunhofer Gesellschaft.
After finishing his PhD, Dr. Hüsig worked as a freelancer for the Deep Innovation consultancy in the area of Innovation Management, serving customers like Vodafone Group R&D.
Since March 2007 Dr. Hüsig is back at the Chair of Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Regensburg as an assistant professor. Between September and November 2008 he was a Visiting Fellow at the Fudan University in Shanghai (China). In 2009 he was invited as Visiting Lecturer at the Clermont Graduate School of Management, Clermont-Ferrand (France) and at the Aston Business School, Birmingham (UK). He was also holding a Lectureship at the University of Applied Science Deggendorf in Deggendorf (Germany). Additionally, he supported the creation of the new Institute for Technology and Innovation Management at the University of Economics, Prague (Czech Republic).
At the Chair he is mainly responsible for New Product Development and Technology Management.
